Talented David gets a lift up the career ladder thanks to SCE Enterprise.
Anyone wondering whether additional qualifications really do make a difference in the work place should take tips from David Gauld.
Whilst completing the CMI Executive Diploma in Management with SCE Enterprise - the professional training centre at Stevenson College Edinburgh, the 28-year-old has been climbing the ladder to success as a senior manager with FreeAgent - the largest provider of online accounting software in the UK.
David reflects that completing the SCE Enterprise course has eased him into his current business role. He said: "My advancement to my current senior position was definitely hastened by my participation on the CMI programme."
In his new role as Partnership Manager with FreeAgent, David uses the additional skills he gained with SCE Enterprise to oversee current technology projects and to develop partnership relationships with key clients and consumers.
David's journey started in 2008 when he joined the company as agency sales staff. He was immediately keen to progress his career and make use of his skill set. After receiving approval from his employers he decided to enrol for the CMI Executive Diploma with SCE Enterprise - and hasn't looked back since.
The course offers a number of business specific modules, including Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Sensitivities, and Relationships and Communication.
