Stevenson College Edinburgh works in partnership with Servisair
Having just launched its new course, the Award in Airport Services and Ground Handling, has been delighted SCE Enterprise with the response and the number of applications which are flooding in.
The Awared in Airport Services and Ground Handling course has been developed in partnership with Servisair, a leading global provider of aviation ground services, and the goals are:
- To provide the practical experience and theory to prepare you for employment in the air tourism industry.
- To allow students to benefit from the Stevenson College Edinburgh's exclusive partnership with Servisair.
The course will be delivered as an evening class, one day per week for 12 weeks and will include two full day site visits to Edinburgh Airport. The course costs £200 and is eligible for funding through ILA Scotland.
Marie McGuckin, SCE Enterprise's Senior Business Development Executive described the response to the number of enquiries and applications for the course as "phenomenal".
Alison Chambers, Associate Principal, added "we're delighted to be able to offer an opportunity that is directly linked with jobs, particularly in this difficult climate."
The Edinburgh Evening News recently detailed the success of the course in a story which you can read in full here.
SCE Enterprise has received a huge number of applications for a place on this course and the second recruitment stage - interviews - is about to begin. Due to the response, the possibility of running a second course is being investigated and there is a waiting list system being operated for the applications which are still coming in.
