Former student of SCE, Artur Dziewisz (29) has won the Enterprising Student Award in Scotland's Colleges Mean Business Awards sponsored by the Federation of Small Businesses.

In 2008, after completing his course at SCE, Artur set up the Bright City Design and Printing Service in Edinburgh. The business provides promotional marketing materials and website design to clients including the Discovery Channel, the Royal College of Surgeons and Edinburgh Festival Guides.

Artur, who is originally from Poland, plans to stay in the UK and hopes to continue to develop his business here. As his business works on a virtual model he doesn't employ any staff avoiding traditional business structures. He says is all about "creativity and freedom".

Head of Business Development at SCE Enterprise Shaun Marley said:

He showed himself to be focused on the clients' needs and at SCE did his best to fulfil each brief he was given to the best of his ability. He has continually developed his skills in new and emerging technologies and has clarity in his decision making. This venture has also enabled Artur to develop his business and entrepreneurial skills."
