SCE Enterprise appoints business guru to help SMEs
SCE Enterprise has appointed a business guru to help boost the fortunes of companies. Liam Conway has joined SCE Enterprise as a Knowledge Transfer Business Development Executive to work on the 2KT project, a new £1.5m initiative. This project is a partnership of eight of Scotland's leading colleges and universities.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will benefit from the expertise that our Business Development Executive will translate into added value business products, processes and services. This includes essential knowledge about a range of sectors including tourism, micro-renewables, marketing and creative industries.
The funding boost has been provided by the Scottish Government SEEKIT programme, the Scottish Funding Council and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Shaun Marley , Head of Business Development at SCE Enterprise, said, "Now more than ever, educational institutions have an important role to play in supporting the future of Scottish business. Traditionally, this support has tended to be provided by the University sector however, it is recognised that colleges also have much to offer from a business development perspective. It's fantastic to have secured this significant funding which will go a long way to helping the partnership support, develop and grow Scottish companies over the coming years."
