Aim
This course is designed to enable participants to improve the accessibility, readability and usability of a web site. It will look at writing web content and the principles of web design
Objectives
On successful completion of the course, participants should be able to:
- write web content that is easier to read

- identify design standards
- develop a site specification

The course (standard) will cover:
- analysing online web content
- planning - developing a site specification
- site design
- good design principles v design problems – things to avoid!
- design standards
- typography - improving readability of text
- editorial style
- accessibility and usability
- use of graphics & multimedia
- setting corporate standards
The course is delivered through a mixture of tutor input, discussions and group activities.
