Studio Photography (formerly Advanced Photography)
Aim
This Studio Photography course builds on the student's experience in photography. It explores the areas of studio lighting, still life, portraiture and so on. The course allows the student to move from taking pictures to producing images.
Objectives
The objective of the course is to learn about image styles, studio organisation, portraiture and still life.
Course Content
The content of the course includes:
Instruction on how to operate professional photography lighting equipment.
Instruction on flash exposure control and how to apply the rules of composition.
Instruction on the use of either a 35mm camera or a digital camera.
Instruction on how to produce images which meet assignment specifications.
instruction on how to use three different lighting techniques and practices.
Assessment
Satisfactory completion of the agreed assignments.
Entry Requirements
You should have a basic knowledge of photography.
