Course Content
This level 5 management qualification is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute. The programme concentrates on the practical application of management theory and principles at the operational level within the organisation.
The Executive Diploma covers the following topics:
- developing management skills
- management information systems
- managing business challenges
- financial management
- operations management
- managing human resources
- managing performance
- project development
Assessment
A wide range of assessments methods e.g. work-based assignments, case study, examination and personal development portfolio analysis are employed throughout the programme.
This programme is intended for middle to senior managers who are responsible for translating organisational strategy into effective operational performance. It is equally valuable for the person who aspires to such a role, by helping them gain the knowledge and understanding necessary to carry it out.
The Executive Diploma in Management could provide progression to the Level 5 Executive Diploma in Strategic Management, which will enable development of strategic management skills and also entry to a number of postgraduate options.
Entry Requirements
Experience of managing is essential and the entry qualification is a Level 4 Diploma in Management or to SVQ level 4 in Management. Entry is also possible for those who can demonstrate their ability to study at this level, or who have suitable management experience.
Fees are £1,900 per student.
