Aim
The Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration course aims to give IT professionals and other interested parties an in-depth understanding of Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure. This includes managing a network of multiple servers utilising:
- DHCP
- DNS
- Remote Access
- Network Security
- File and Print Serves
- Maintaining and updating a Microsoft network infrastructure
The course cost is £280 per student.

The objective of the course is to prepare students for the Microsoft 70-642 Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration professional examination. Students will generally but not always come from the following areas:

- Experienced IT professionals who support other network operating systems and now intend to support Microsoft Server products
- Current support professionals wishing to update their skills

Assessment
The course is externally assessed through Thomson Prometric, the organisation which administers the official Microsoft Examinations.
Entry Requirements
Prospective students should have a basic knowledge of a server operating system. This course is challenging and requires a considerable amount of commitment on behalf of the student.
