Pre/Post Natal Fitness Course

Aim

Many pregnant women or those who have recently given birth are keen to maintain or start a fitness and exercise regime.  They have specific needs and concerns and as fitness professionals you should be aware of these.

Objectives

This one day programme provides a toolbox for health and fitness professionals to make informed decisions when designing exercise programmes for pre and post natal clients.

Course Content

  • Physiological overview
  • Covering both pre and post partum exercises
  • Contraindications and considerations for exercise
  • Overview of pregnancy and birth
  • Exercise prescription for clients

Assessment

8 REPs CPD points available

The course is classroom based and contains a substantial practical and interactive element.
