Electrical Safety Awareness for Non-Electrical Personnel
Aim
The aim of this course is to provide the participants with an insight into fundamental electrical safety requirements.
Objectives
On successful completion of this course, participants will have a understanding of:
basic electrical principles
basic rules of electrical safety
common electrical safety scenarios
Course Content
This course will cover:
- electrical principles - the relationship between I, V and R
- installation layouts and safety features
- earthing/bonding
- inspection/testing documentation and certification.

There are no specific entry requirements.
This course would be of benefit to those person with responsibility for general safety in an organisation.
It would also be of benefit to non-electrical personnel who need to be made aware of the dangers from electricity and the ways in which they could avoid accidents caused by lack of awareness and misuse of electrical systems and equipment.
