The Introduction to Adobe After Effects course will provide students with a foundation in the main techniques of digital compsiting and effects including key-framing, masking, motion text, multi-layer composite techniques and image manipulation.Other aspects such as green screen, chroma key, colour correction and final output compression will also be covered.

1: Introduction to after effects workspace, using key-framing and basic transforms, intro to ram preview and composition settings.
2: Anchor points and key-framing .
3: Multi-layer composite techniques, including integration with photoshop .
4: Motion text, layer styles and text effects.
5: Vector shapes and pre-composing.
6: Masking, track-matting and garbage masks.
7: Green screen and chroma key.
8: Green screen and chroma key continued.
9: Colour correction and effects filters.
10: Motion Tracking.
11: Putting It all together - Recap of all areas covered.
12: Final output and digital compression.
Assessment
Entry Requirements
Applicants would benefit by having some background knowledge in digital imaging or digital editing and should have a good working knowledge of general computer use.
